Privacy policy

Libs-to-Clips collects minimum information about their users to provide the service functionality and ensure smooth user experience. It relies on Google as an identity provider since it is required to have a Google (YouTube) account to make proper use of the service. This means that no personal data (names, photos, addresses etc.) is managed and/or stored by Libs-to-Clips itself.

The service uses the Google Id of the logged-in user to manage their session including their library, configuration settings, import progress and third-party tokens. Once the user signs out from the website the session gets cleared and all the temporary data gets deleted. That's why users are advised to keep their (modified) libraries stored as local files on their devices. The playlists having been created by Libs-to-Clips remain on the user's YouTube account. Blacklists of YouTube videos are the only data which is stored long-term, which makes them reusable when user playlists get eventually remade.

The service stores their users' Google Ids in a cookie of the browser to avoid reauthenticating them every time they visit the website or switch the pages.

Libs-to-Clips protects its users' sensitive data from unauthorized access by managing all user sessions on the server side. This means that data cannot be downloaded by anyone else than the data owner. User data is transferred through the network using a secured protocol, which ensures that all this data is encrypted and cannot be read or modified in case it gets intercepted.

Users are in control of how long their data remains accessible to the service as most of it is only stored during the lifespan of a login session. Keeping the period of data retention short further reduces risk of compromising the confidentiality.

Libs-to-Clips logs usage of their main functionality while keeping user data anonymized. Only the size of user's library and created playlists is being logged while the content itself is strictly kept to the session. No sensitive personal data of the users ever gets into the service logs and cannot be accessed by anyone including the service administrator.

Libs-to-Clips does not transfer user data to third parties for commercial or any other purposes.

Users and visitors of Libs-to-Clips are encouraged to use the feedback form in case of any questions or concerns related to their personal data.
